magine a city and county infested with
garbage everywhere. If you're fi nding it hard
to do, it's because the hard working men
and women within Macon-Bibb County's
Sanitation Department are making sure
you can't.
Their daily diligence is what keeps our streets
and neighborhoods clean and our environment
safe. But what the job takes tends to be taken for
granted. That's why Macon Magazine rode some
routes recently with a garbage collection crew
and an illegal dumping team, shedding new light
on what they do as gatekeepers of a clean
Macon-Bibb.
