Live Well 2024
What is the mission of your business?
My mission is to create a sophisticated,
comprehensive process for getting people to
medical appointments and procedures. Our team
of experienced nurses provides professional,
personalized support to families by off ering
transportation to appointments, serving as patient
advocates, and ensuring families stay updated
throughout the process.
Has your mission changed in the last
fi ve years, post pandemic or otherwise?
How? Why?
The idea for Nurse Crew was born during the
pandemic when I thought of a "SEAL Team of
nurses" heading out to help the most complex
patients. That idea lay dormant for a while.
Then I saw an opportunity for better medical
transportation through my job as a surgical nurse.
Care Cab was born. Then the year-long process
of starting that business showed me that really
what we need is nurses taking people to their
medical appointments when their family can't go,
help keep up with medications, and communicate
what the doctor is saying to the customer and
their family.
How does your business improve lives?
Let's look at it from the perspective of the 40-50
year olds in our community. They are trying to
look after kids, aging parents, and themselves!
Ouch!! Wouldn't it be nice if we could come
along and say, "Hey! I got this for you. Mark it
off your list."
What challenges do you face, and how do you
overcome them?
Price, not being covered by insurance (yet). It just
means we have to get creative in these fi rst days,
and we may not be for everyone (yet). But it is only
the beginning.
Who are your inspirations for a life well lived?
My sister, Lisa Seneker. If you don't know her, you
need to. She is a trailblazer and a total badass.
Can I say that??
