7 I felt most connected to the Macon community when I took a Photojournalism class. I went to Amerson Park, the Triangle Arts Center, Ocmulgee National Historical Park, and anywhere there were people downtown. I not only fell in love with photography, but I fell in love with Macon. Everyone I met was genuine and kind. There's always something happening every weekend. I recommend following Macon-related pages and businesses on Instagram to stay updated on the interesting, fun, and unique events in the city. Whether someone has lived in Macon their whole life or just moved here, one thing remains constant about our city: its strong sense of community.
