Erion Smith and Lucille Williams, Forest Avenue and Third Avenue:
Lucille: I've been in Pleasant Hill 63 years. 63 years. My whole life. Majority
of my life, yes. I just love The Hill. Everything about it. I feel safe in this
community, regardless of what happens, I feel safe. I'm loved, and I know
everybody. Bring it back like it used to be, like when I was little growing up
here. It used to be we used to go to sleep at night. It didn't have to lock our
doors. We could play outside and not worry about somebody coming by doing
something crazy. This reunion gives me hope that maybe next year, more
people will come back.
