Join Fairytales and Friends for their first ever Boo Bash, a night of frightful fun featuring villains and princesses at 6 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the Wellston Center in Warner Robins. unbranded characters like elves or fairies, Coy always tries to feature an inclusive range of performers to make sure audiences feel seen. Another way Fairytales and Friends hopes to impact the community is through hospital visits with children. Coy's favorite memory is singing "Let It Go" alongside a little boy who was finally about to be discharged. "it's like the oldest little grainiest quality video, but I always look back at that moment. It was me and him and thank goodness, it was all joy." Fairytales and Friends hopes to spread more joy. The company has used digital marketing and partnerships with organizations like the City of Warner Robins, NewTown Macon, and Bragg Jam to increase business dramatically in 2023, and they'll soon be adding more characters and performers to their repertoire. Once a one-woman operation, at the 2024 ribbon cutting with the Robins Regional Chamber celebrating 10 years in business, Coy was surrounded by colleagues, supporters, and little ones. It may not be a happy ending quite yet for this troupe, but performer Shauna Fortson said being a part of Fairytales and Friends feels like she's living out her childhood dreams: "It's being able to give back to the community and work with charity organizations – but also at the root of it, I get to play dress up with all of my good friends."
