The longest-established nursing program in the state of Georgia, Mercer University's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing will help address the critical need for nurses in Central Georgia through expansion of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program to Macon. By offering the BSN in Macon, residential undergraduate students will have the option to complete all four years of their nursing degree in Macon or transfer to Mercer's Atlanta campus to complete the program. The BSN in Macon will also be available to transfer students. Mercer has partnered with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to develop pathways for technical college graduates to matriculate into high-demand health care fields, including nursing. Through the partnership, health care pathways have been tailored for each of the TCSG system colleges to maximize the credits students can bring to Mercer's undergraduate health care programs.
