We at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings believe in training the next generation of musicians not just in music, but in all the skills they'll need to navigate through the music business. Being a subset of a larger University allows our students to take advantage of invaluable educational opportunities, including selecting a Bachelor of Music performance degree with elective studies in an outside field. The 21st-century musician is creative, smart, capable, and innovative, and to achieve our students' goals, McDuffie has partnered with Mercer's School of Business to create the Bachelor of Music with Electives in Business degree. Students can choose from courses in accounting, marketing, management, and economics. The 21st century performing arts world is challenging to navigate, yet bursting with opportunity for the imaginative, entrepreneurial artist.
