Flip a page for inspiration, research, conversation, or a moment of respite from a busy day. Take it up a notch by arranging your books by hue or choosing books in patterns and colorways that de ne your design style. Bring out the books. 2 Replace that broken, ugly, or dingy lampshade. You'd be surprised how e ortless (and satisfying) it is to change a lamp's entire look and feel just by tting it with a new shade. You can nd many patterned and colored lamp shades to out t your existing base. And you can never go wrong with a classic white drum or empire, too. 1 Red cherry print hand-shirred pleated lamp shade, Massey Gordon, $125. Upcycling or thrifting are great budget options. Find, sort, & decorate. Maybe you have vases, family heirlooms, or decorative objects collecting dust in storage. Clean and polish the pieces you have, and give each piece a new home. Sometimes, reorganizing pieces you already own (and love) but just forgot about can dress up your spaces in ways you hadn't imagined before. And even shu ing around pieces to new spots in your home can make them feel new again! 3 Could you use a moment (or two) to unwind in a zen space?
