W O M E N I N B U S I N E S S What is your advice for women wanting to become an attorney in Macon? Do it. We have a thriving community with needs that you can meet. Find women attorneys you trust. Seek their input and advice. Explore different areas of practice until you find what works best for you. Your practice does not have to fit anyone else's expectations. It took me some time to find the right fit for me and my practice, but I wouldn't change that path for anything, and I know I am right where I need to be. - Dallas Roper I am grateful for being part of a law firm whose core values align with my faith, a supportive husband who encourages me to pursue my goals, and the many people in my life who have provided guidance, mentorship, and professional and personal opportunities. - Amanda Morris Looking back, I wish I had known and recognized the importance of finding and cultivating my tribe of like-minded women to assist me in my personal and professional pursuits. - Lauren Schultz My favorite part of both work and life is seeing positive growth and change. Whether it is seeing someone I have mentored succeed in winning a case or seeing my own children achieve a goal, it makes my heart smile. It is also gratifying to see changes I've had a part in. For example, the wonderful Cotton Avenue Plaza Park – knowing I played a role in helping Macon-Bibb County defend a lawsuit to make that park – makes it all the more beautiful and meaningful for me to enjoy a cup of coffee there. - Elizabeth Hall J a m e s B a te s B ra n n a n G r o o v e r L L P Dallas Roper, Amanda Morris, Lauren Schultz, Elizabeth Hall 231 Riverside Drive, Suite 100, Macon 478.742.4280 w: jamesbatesllp.com
