W O M E N I N B U S I N E S S What services or products do you offer, and how do they meet a need or satisfy a want for Central Georgians? We provide all needed and necessary community and government services, including street repair, solid waste collections, right-of-way mowing, recreation programming, park creation and maintenance, economic development, and more. I get the word out on all of the amazing things Macon-Bibb is doing in creative ways. My goal is to make government not boring and instead make it cool and engaging. The more people that understand and engage in our community the stronger we are. Why do you do what you do? Each of the wonderful people in the picture chose their path for a different reason, but each works for the love for their community. Our government – and our community – should be thankful for what they do each and every day to make sure it remains a great day in Macon-Bibb. I love Macon, and I want others to love it as much as I do. What is the best advice you have ever received, business or otherwise? Just show up. And invest in those who invest in you. People who show up for you should be cherished. I hope more women will fight for what they want and have confidence in their passions. Don't let anyone steal your shine. You might be surprised to know that government isn't actually boring, and we're a ton of fun. — Olivia Walter M a c o n - B i b b C o u n t y City Hall 700 Poplar Street, Macon 478.751.7170 w: maconbibb.us
