Of course, our well-being depends on some regularit y. If we're lucky, the anticipation of each constant breeds solace, inspiration, and even joy. Just as I value such continuation, I also crave a new idea , a shift in perspective, and the f irst time tasting a new flavor. These discoveries can change your life. You'll f ind both the constants and the new paradigms in these pages. We see a sisterhood sizzling across college campuses, quilting circles, and kimchi pots. From the mayor's off ice to high school hoops and from television trailblazers to stained glass ceilings, the women of our region catalyze each other. For 38 years, Macon Magazine has been celebrating our women in the work, both within and far beyond traditional spaces and places. We know that from our burgeoning sparks to those fanning the flames and the illuminated legacy we honor, women bear it all for ward, in spite of cultural, political, and social directives. It's why we can't sit back to simply watch the f ire we create. We have a future to protect while we are kindling drive in our youth and locally enrolled f irestarters who become cultural torchbearers. Read on to remember why we keep the f ires burning.
