W O M E N I N B U S I N E S S The mission of Macon Volunteer Clinic is to improve health and wellness by providing primary care services to uninsured working adults of Macon-Bibb and Twiggs County, Georgia, at no cost. These services include primary medical care, chronic disease management, preventive screenings, dental care, mental health counselling, and medication assistance. By providing these vital services free of charge, we not only satisfy the fundamental need for healthcare but also contribute to overall well-being and quality of life in Central Georgia. The best advice I've received is that in both business and life, challenges are inevitable. But it's our ability to adapt, learn from setbacks, and keep pushing forward that ultimately leads to success. What experiences led you to choosing this professional path? I witnessed healthcare disparities first-hand and developed a deep desire to address inequities. Working at Macon Volunteer Clinic allows me to directly impact lives and work towards a more equitable healthcare system, motivating me daily. To women in Central Georgia exploring entrepreneurship or career changes: Embrace your community's support. Seek local mentors, join entrepreneurial groups, and never stop learning. Prioritize self-care, stay resilient, and trust in your abilities. Your journey is yours alone, each step forward brings growth and fulfilment.
