Main Street Christmas Extravaganza December mainstreetmaconchristmas.org | @maconchristmaslights Throughout the winter season, over 500,000 lights adorn four city blocks of Macon. These lights are accompanied by classic Christmas songs performed by Macon Pops, an orchestra acclaimed throughout the Southeast. Cherry Blossom Festival March cherryblossom.com | @pinkestparty For over 40 years, the Cherry Blossom Festival has been a staple of springtime in Macon. Throughout its 10-day run, visitors celebrate the blooming of Macon's famous cherry blossoms with concerts, food trucks, wiener dog races, and more. Bragg Jam July braggjam.org | @braggjam Born as a memorial to local musicians Brax and Tate Bragg, Bragg Jam has evolved into a music and arts festival that draws artists to venues throughout Downtown Macon. The annual Concert Crawl is a highlight of summer in Macon. "My favorite seasonal event would have to be the Cherry Blossom Festival because of how pretty it is. There is an entire week full of events: the downtown Macon area is transformed. The cherry blossoms bloom, and everything turns pink—which is a perfect segway into the spring months that are to come. My friends and I go to at least one day of the festival every year, and we walk around, take pictures, and eat at the various food trucks. There is a whole fair and parade that we also go to!"
