36 maconmagazine.com | FEBRUARY/MARCH 2024 Ghost Runner Pizza The popular pop-up will go brick-and- mortar this spring in Downtown Perry, Georgia. Since their first pop-up in July 2022, Ghost Runner has swiftly gained a devoted following. Their pies are known for their signature sourdough crust recipe and bold ingredient choices – like crab rangoon pizza or creative sauces made from Poplar Street Farmers Market veggies of the day – which sizzle to perfection in wood-fire grills. Co- owned and founded by brothers Cody and Wade, and Wade's wife, Sydney, the three Walkers bring a youthful sense of play and authenticity to the table. When asked what the vibe at the new location will be, all three simultaneously said "fun." Cody elaborated, saying the restaurant will reflect their personalities and values. "The places we would want to eat at, the menu is really interesting, the service is really good, but it's relaxed. When people are just excited about and proud of what they're doing, you can always feel that, see that. That's the energy we're bringing to Ghost Runner."
