Department began Fire Prevention Week
with a ceremony to recognize student winners
of the Annual Fire Prevention Art & Essay
Contest. H&H Soul Food manager Tangie
Myers holds baby Zeniaih. The 2023 Goodwill
Gala theme was Macon Life Good: Taste
Makers and Dream Chasers and featured an
extensive tasting menu inspired by Macon's
favorite dishes from legendary restaurants
and chefs – all prepared by Helms College
culinary students and faculty chefs. The event,
presented by SBG Wealth Management,
raised over $100,000 for the future culinary
and community stars of Macon and beyond
in the form of Helms College scholarships
and Goodwill programs. Storytellers Macon
captured the journeys of Helms College
alumni who are chasing their dreams and
