Not recommended for children. Tickets are $20 per person; make reservations online. 6 Glass Ornament Workshops When: Oct. 21, 28; Nov. 4, 18 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Where: Startup Studios With the help of glass artists, get creative and with DIY ornaments this holiday season. Tickets are $50 per person, including materials. 7 From Ocmulgee to Okmulgee Art Exhibit When: Through Nov 18. Gallery hours are Thursday-Saturday from 4-8 p.m. Where: The McEachern Art Center This exhibit focuses on the history of Indigenous culture, especially present in Macon. Featured artists are Bobby C. Martin and Randy Kemp. 8 Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra When: Oct. 16, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Where: The Grand Opera House Mercer's McDuffie Center Young Artists collaborate with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians and special guest artists. Tickets are $25- 35 per person; student tickets are free with a valid ID. 9 Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular When: Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. Where: Downtown Macon, First and Poplar Street Music is synchronized live to the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a walk through festive lights across Downtown Macon afterward. Free admission. 10 Bicentennial Art Show When: noon to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 29, 2023 Where: The first and second levels of the renewed Macon mall "A Sense of Place" is the last of the rotating exhibits in the show. Visitors can view and purchase the artwork on display. The show celebrates 200 years of Macon's history through local art. Free admission.
