As visitors tour under twinkling lights, they'll learn about and celebrate the design styles, history, homes, and residents. Homes will be featured in their holiday splendor, including a 1905 Victorian home that well-known Macon architect Ward Dennis updated to the more popular Federal style in the 1940s. In this home, tour attendees can see the extensive, recent den area renovation. Around the corner, enjoy a beautiful 1920 Dutch Colonial-style home with features unique to the neighborhood, such as a Gambrel roof and dormer windows. Do not miss this home, tastefully decorated for the holidays to match the classic lines of the home's architecture. Further on in the neighborhood sits a O Tours are December 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and December 3 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets go on sale on November 1. Advance tickets are $25 and on day of the event, $30. Parking and ticket check-in will be at Vineville Baptist Church. The tour brings holiday cheer, funds preservation, and celebrates the young people giving new life to these old homes. Tour proceeds benefit the Vineville Neighborhood Association (VNA), which works to improve, protect, and advocate for this area of Macon and strives to create a sense of place and neighborhood pride through various programs such as low- interest façade loans, park beautification, and social events that make Historic Vineville such a special place to live and visit. Especially exciting is the young new leadership in the neighborhood stepping up to help make this tour a success. Current VNA president, Will Davis, is committed to making this tour the best yet. "The VNA is thrilled to host the Holiday Tour of Homes again this year. The last tour in our historic neighborhood was back in 2019, so we're excited to show off some great homes, and we hope folks are excited to come see them."
