Deedrick L. Reese, at its business advocacy program, Macon & Eggs. Mercer University welcomed record-breaking first-year class of more than 1,000 on its residential undergraduate campus. The Macon Mercer Symphony Gala It was A Night of Illumination at the Macon-Mercer Symphony Gala, a celebratory evening that included performances by both some of the best emerging artists in the country of the McDuffie Center for Strings as well as world renowned players Chuck Leavell and Robert McDuffie, at the Center's historic headquarters of the Bell House and on stage of The Grand Opera House, home of the symphony four times a year. On the Intercity Tour, more than 50 Macon-Bibb County leaders stand in front of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation's Council Oak Tree in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the ancestral fires from their homelands are buried after being forced from the South. The delegates visited Okmulgee and Tulsa to foster relationships and cultural understanding ahead of the National Park designation.
