8 If you are in the mood to play a friendly game of pickleball or tennis, there are plenty of facilities to choose from. Your first option is Tattnall Square Park's tennis and pickleball center featuring well-lighted, full-sized courts. Another great choice is the John Drew Smith Tennis Center which offers 22 hard courts, eight pickleball courts, private lessons and a pro shop. Coming soon – one of the largest indoor pickleball facilities in the country is under construction at the Macon Mall (Mercer University Drive). This will be at the same site as Macon's outdoor music amphitheater, slated for completion at the end of this year. After working up a sweat, treat yourself to a sumptuous lunch! H&H Soul Food serves stick-to-your-ribs soul food as one of Macon's most classic meat-and-threes (with vegetarian options). And the restaurant displays its famous ties to the Allman Brothers Band with ABB memorabilia on the walls for all to enjoy. Afternoon: Walk Around the World The Big House Allman Brothers Museum Third Street Park Day 1 Morning: Match, Set, Serve Macon is a city rooted and rising – where history and culture come to life. Dive into African traditions with a visit to the Tubman Museum, the largest museum in the Southeast dedicated to African American art. Across the street from the Tubman is the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, one of the country's largest state sports museums at 43,000 square feet. For a local art experience, visit the Macon Arts Alliance Gallery, or the Museum of Arts and Sciences exhibits which allow you to travel worldwide without leaving Macon. And if you're ready to rock and learn more about Macon's legendary music lineage, visit The Big House, the historic house museum site of all things Allman Brothers Band. Drop by Capricorn Studios, which is a fully restored, historic working studio with a museum where you can take an interactive listening tour sampling the Capricorn Records catalog. Located in nearby Warner Robins, The Museum of Aviation is worth the drive to see the 85 historic aircraft, among other exhibits, on its 51 acres.
