WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT MACON? I le Macon a er law school for job opportunities in Atlanta and out of state. When I returned a er being gone for more than a decade, I was so delighted to see how much Macon had changed and grown, but also how much wonderful history has been preserved. It is hard not to love Macon this time of year around Cherry Blossom festival. Where else can you tour ancient Indigenous mounds by lantern but the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park? Who doesn't want to go see a baseball game where the mascot is Kevin Bacon? I love that Fall Line has yoga with their amazing beer. I love going to the Macon-Mercer Symphony at the Grand Opera House and the wonderful Broadway shows that come here, not to mention the local talent that is showcased at Theatre Macon and Macon Little Theatre. From the famed Allman Brothers' hangout H&H, to the upscale Dovetail — there is something tasty for everyone! Then you can walk it off at Amerson Park's wonderful trails. Macon has so much to offer and has been a hidden gem for so long. I love seeing it get the recognition it deserves. — Elizabeth Hall WHAT NON-WORK-RELATED PASSIONS FUEL YOU?
