WHAT IS THE MISSION OF
YOUR BUSINESS?
Creating environments that support and
encourage people to live their best life,
joyfully.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR WOMEN
WANTING TO START THEIR OWN
BUSINESS, GOING BACK TO WORK, OR
STARTING A NEW CAREER IN MACON?
Just do it! The worst that can happen is
someone tells you no or you fail. But the
best that can happen is that you create
something magical and are truly inspired by
your life.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT MACON?
Coming from a different part of the
country, I love that Macon is welcoming
and friendly. We've set up a new office on
Second Street, and everyone has been very
supportive. I can't wait to dive more into
the Macon community and bring all that we
have to offer.
YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW:
My business is named Joy Street because it
was the street I lived on in San Francisco.
When I started my business, I was still a
practicing attorney and did not want to use
my name. My husband had the great idea
to use this unique name and it's become
the guiding light for the firm. Creating joy
is our passion.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST
CHALLENGING PART OF BEING
A FEMALE BUSINESS OWNER OR
PROFESSIONAL WOMAN?
At this stage of my life, the most challenging
part of owning a business is trying to find an
equilibrium between pursuing tremendous
growth with also being present in every
other aspect of life. There are some days
where being a parent or a spouse is more
important, and then there are other days
where work takes precedent. Keeping the
end goal in mind is really important.
