FROM TOP LEFT: Mercer University School of Medicine and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta announced on Feb. 22 that they will together launch a major initiative to improve pediatric healthcare in rural Georgia. The initiative, announced by Governor Brian Kemp at the Georgia State Capitol, will include a series of pilot programs focused on improving access to pediatric care close to home, and the affiliation will be funded by a dedicated and long-term sustainable fund of $200 million that the Children's Board of Trustees allocated in 2022. | On Feb. 17, Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. (UNITED) officially broke ground on an $85 million investment to its Macon, facility as announced in December. | Petty Officer Third Class Javen Peavy, a native of Pineview, Georgia, serves aboard a U.S. Navy warship operating out of Norfolk, Virginia. Peavy joined the Navy nearly four years ago. Today, he serves as a boatswain's mate aboard U.S.S. Mesa Verde. "I joined the Navy to broaden my horizons," Peavy said.
