What's your iconic
Macon bite?
BY MACON MAGAZINE STAFF
T
he taste of Macon is so flavorful, it can't be explained by one
palate. Some historic dishes like Nu-Way hot dogs, circa
1916, feel like generations of nostalgia. And newer bites add
texture to our story, like Dovetail's cracked pie or Piedmont Brewery
and Kitchen's smoked wings. Sinking our teeth into these bites bring
back moments of nights spent laughing with friends around the table
or the quintessential date night. They remind us of the time that a
child first tried the dish that would become a family go-to, or where
we take out-of-town relatives to introduce them to our fair city.
It was so important to capture the full taste of Macon that we had
to ask you. Our readers chimed in with their perfect Macon bite —
and we think you'll agree that these are ones to savor.

ROOKERY
SO many incredible restaurants in Macon but a burger from the Rookery is just truly Macon!
