Born to a family synonymous with southern music (including uncle
Phil Walden, Capricorn Records impresario and Mercer alumnus),
Jessica Walden developed a deep-seated loyalty to her hometown
through its music heritage and untold stories. She and her husband
Jamie Weatherford own and operate Rock Candy Tours, which they
founded over a decade ago as Macon's music history tour company.
During this time, Jessica served as the Director of Communications
and Outreach for the College Hill Alliance, a Knight-funded grant
initiative in collaboration with Mercer University that initiated
connection, sense of place and community vibrancy from the
University's main campus to heart of Downtown Macon.
