Autumn Reflections Monday, Nov. 14 Rutland High School The Mercer Wind Ensemble presents a concert in retrospect of our shared experiences in collaboration with the Rutland High School Band. We will perform works that explore themes of hope, grief, triumph, and celebration as we near the close of a season in order to begin anew. This concert will feature special guests, the Rutland High School Band under the direction of Sarah Elliot. Mad About Chamber Music Wednesday, Jan. 25 Join us as the Mercer Wind Ensemble's tradition of presenting a chamber winds concert enters its 21st season. Repertoire will be selected to feature each musician in a variety of combinations, colors, and collaborations coached by the woodwind, brass, and percussion faculty. A New Day Tuesday, Feb. 21 Central High School The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will join forces with Central High School to present an exciting evening of wind band music. Featured on the program will be Omar Thomas's "Of Our New Day Begun." This concert will feature special guests, Central High School Band with Kameron Agee, conductor. Winds & Pipes Monday, Apr. 24 First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Place The Mercer University Wind Ensemble is thrilled to present an evening featuring the powerful combination of wind band and pipe organ at the First Baptist Church of Christ in downtown Macon. The concert concludes the 2022 – 2023 Wind Ensemble season and will feature Dr. Jack Mitchener, Professor of Organ as soloist and collaborator.
