H
ere in Central Georgia, music walks among us. See
that small business owner? He was almost famous.
Your postman? You just heard him on the classic rock
radio station. That lady loading her truck with goat feed? She
just won best blues album. The guy singing at your favorite
restaurant? He's got a massive following in Europe. Your
financial advisor? You may have had his band's bumper sticker
on your car. The guy painting your house? He can tell you
what it's like to work with James Brown. The singer on stage at
Grant's? He opened for Little Richard.
Few places are as connected to an everlasting groove as
we are in our everyday, here in the heart of Georgia. From
business executives to bartenders who double in a band, to
your next door neighbor or church member who once played
with legends, there is no shortage of stories from those who
were, knew of or were there with our hitmakers. While some
are globally known, others remain unsung. No matter the path
they followed, music is part of who they are, then and now.
