S P E C I A L A DV E RT I S I N G S E C T I O N HOW DOES YOUR PRACTICE IMPROVE LIVES? Providing quality, comprehensive medical care to residents in Central Georgia is more than just treating acute illnesses. We man- age chronic health conditions and screen for specific diseases such as breast cancer, colon cancer, diabetes and others. We work with our patients to find the best treatment plan for them that is both effective and cost conscious. WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE, AND HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THEM? The COVID-19 pandemic was a huge chal- lenge for us, as many of our elderly patients were too scared to come into the office. We started using telehealth for appointments, and we were able to continue seeing and treating patients while maintaining their safety. Also, we have added rapid COVID-19 testing in the office that provides results in under 20 minutes. This allows for faster recognition of the COVID-19 virus. HOW CAN OUR COMMUNITY LIVE HEALTHIER LIVES? We need more community resources aimed at healthy living, and these resources need to be easily accessible and affordable. So many people in our community don't understand how to eat healthy, don't have access to healthy meal options and don't have access to physical exercise. 2022 Live We 2022 Live We NICHOLAS NICHOLAS PIETRZAK, M.D. PIETRZAK, M.D. KAEL CREWS & AMANDA HARMON KAEL CREWS & AMANDA HARMON NURSE PRACTITIONERS NURSE PRACTITIONERS 3951 RIDGE AVE., SUITE B, MACON 3951 RIDGE AVE., SUITE B, MACON 478-757-1934 478-757-1934 NICKPMD.COM NICKPMD.COM PHOTO BY JESSICA WHITLEY S P E C I A L A DV E RT I S I N G S E C T I O N DECEMBER/JANUARY 2022 | maconmagazine.com 67
