School news 1.-5. Rosa Taylor Elementary School hosted a 'Character Con' on Oct. 29. This parade of book character costumes allowed members of the school to bring favorite books to life, while parents had the opportunity to come view the costumes. 6. Congratulations to Dr. Julia Daniely, director of personalized learning and alternative education for the Bibb County School District, on being named the Georgia Association for Alternative Education 2021 Administrator of the Year. 7. Bibb County School District Superintendent Dr. Curtis Jones visited Weaver Middle School seventh-grader Montaevious D. Howard in October to present him with a Superintendent's coin after Jones received a heartfelt message from Montaevious. 8. Central High School juniors and seniors had an opportunity to hear from Florida A&M University (FAMU) President Dr. Larry Robinson and Central High alumni attending FAMU during a recruitment event Oct. 1.
