WHEN JAMES JORDAN WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, the direction his
life would take eluded him, but Jordan knew he wanted to be successful.
"I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do or where I wanted to work, but
I was willing to do what I had to," he said.
at energetic desire to achieve led Jordan to enroll in the Banking and
Finance pathway at Hutchings College and Career Academy (HCCA), a
Bibb County School District initiative to educate, graduate and place students in
positions to achieve success.
Now employed by Perdue Farms, Jordan said Hutchings prepared him for the workplace
"because everything they taught me transferred over to the real world."
"ey want to help you be successful in life, so they're going to do everything in their power
to make sure you have the skills you need to get there," he said. "I worked hard because I wanted
it that bad. It doesn't matter where you come from, what color or race you are, we all have a
chance to succeed in life if we stay focused, work hard and pray."
