Middle three photos: Mary and Hughes Pinson were married
April 30, 1994, at the Church of the Ascension in Montgomery,
Alabama, on her parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Joanna and
Casey Jones celebrated their marriage with family and friends at the
Cloister on Sea Island. They were married at Christ Church on Sea
Island on June 30, 1984. On June 25, 1977, Evelyn and Dr. Curtis L.
Jones Jr. were married at Trinity CME Church, a church at which his
dad pastored, in Griffin. His dad performed the ceremony, and it's
the church they attend today.
Bottom photo: On Nov. 25, 1955, Diane and Jeffrey Jackson Sr.
were married at Covenant Church of Jesus Christ in Macon.
Vintage weddings
Top three photos: Toby and Lester Miller were married June 24,
1989, at Southside Church of Christ. Louise and Willis Waters were
married on their porch on Log Cabin Drive on Nov. 20, 1955. The
couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005. Jodi and
James Palmer were married Sept. 30, 1995, in the Unitarian Church
by Catherine Morn. Guests included family, close friends and the
entire newsroom at the Telegraph. The photographer was Danny
Gilleland, chief photographer at the newspaper.
