mental health evaluations, educational
support, health services and more.
Steve Bell, director of the Brookdale
Warming Center, said he's humbled to
be part of this effort, which was funded
by the Macon-Bibb County Economic
Opportunity Council.
"One of the most endearing qualities
of our community is our ability to care
about others, from volunteers to the
different support agencies and
nonprofits," said Bell. "We as a
community have a duty to show up and
make sure those who are vulnerable are
warm, dry, safe and well-fed. I'm
humbled to be part of this multi-agency,
communitywide effort. I know our
partner agencies are already going above
and beyond to first meet these basic needs
and then find more ways to provide them
all they need. Macon-Bibb has a lot to be
proud of for its heart for others."
