ABOUT THE COVER PHOTO: "I was a photographer at the Macon Telegraph ... a Florida girl who didn't
grow up on Little Richard's music and didn't know that much about him. I'm ashamed to admit it but I
wasn't even that excited about having to go shoot his photo. And then I saw him, and I heard him speak,
and I watched him completely captivate the small crowd that was there. His personality was electrifying. I
went from not really caring about being there to wanting nothing more than to take a photo that captured
the joy that he made everyone in the room feel. I couldn't tell you anyone else that was in that room but I
will never forget his presence. He was truly larger than life."
