We strive to provide quality, compre- hensive health care to our surrounding communities. We utilize a team-centered approach to treat our patients through every step of the process. The mission of our Bone Health Clinic is not just to treat osteoporosis and associated fragility fractures, but also to comprehensively screen patients with known osteoporotic risk factors before fractures can occur. HOW DO YOU IMPROVE LIVES? It is currently estimated that 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men over age 50 will sustain one or more fractures due to osteoporosis. OrthoGeorgia's commitment to provide comprehensive bone health to the patients in our community allows us to treat oste- oporosis and reduce the occurrence and re-occurrence of osteoporotic fractures. WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE? One of the main challenges we encounter is the lack of community awareness about osteoporosis and poor bone quality. We are working on educating our patients and community on recognizing and preventing fragility fractures and the risks for them. WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF? OrthoGeorgia is a comprehensive, orthopaedic practice using the latest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. In 2018, OrthoGeorgia treated patients from 125 out of the 159 counties in Georgia.
