SCHOLARSHIPS AT
HELMS COLLEGE
THE 15TH ANNUAL Goodwill
Christmas Gala is scheduled for
Dec. 6 at Anderson Conference
Center. The evening is a black tie
optional affair presented by SBG
Wealth Management Inc. Proceeds
will support Goodwill and Helms
College in their work to create
educational opportunities and
career pathways out of poverty.
In addition to live entertainment
by the Free, guests will enjoy a
menu curated and prepared by
chefs and students from the Polly
Long Denton School of Hospitality
at Helms College.
"As part of our experiential
learning model, our culinary
students get to stretch and
showcase their skills at the
Goodwill Gala," said James Stiff,
president and CEO of Goodwill
Industries of Middle Georgia. "This
festive event provides supporters
of Goodwill and Helms College
a chance to see and taste the
difference their support is making in
the lives of students."
A new element of the gala this
year is a "Text to Give" initiative.
Donors can text 19Gala to 44321
to support scholarships at Helms
College, an accredited career
college with a variety of programs.
"It's a busy time of year, and we
know not everyone can attend
the gala," Stiff said. "As people are
making their plans for end-of-year
giving, we're hoping they'll consider
Goodwill and find the text-to-give
program a convenient way to help
Goodwill and Helms College."
