Participants were able to create one-of-a-kind cards and unique works of art using mono-printing and silkscreen techniques. With the success of the December workshop, the partnership was solidified, and plans began for monthly workshops. On March 2, MBCPR held the first official workshop in the monthly series. "Bricks 4 Kidz" is a fun, hands-on program designed for children ages 8-14. Using specially designed project kits, created by engineers and architects, participants built a toy Dragster from LEGO blocks and accessories. The next workshop will be during the Earth Day festivities in Mulberry Street Park and will be held in conjunction with the Mulberry Street Market on Wednesday, April 24. Photo Mark Thompson O v at i o n s 3 6 5 . c o m Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation and Macon Arts Alliance have partnered to offer monthly arts and humanities workshops. The goal of this partnership is to increase the availability and accessibility of arts education in Macon and Bibb County. Two workshops have been held so far, and additional workshops will be held on a regular basis.
