"If I don't have a
creation at the end of
my work - (something)
physical and tangible then I don't feel like
I've done anything."
The fact that the young woodworker's parents live on a large
tree farm in Junction City, a tiny town in Talbot County where
the Buckner family has lived since 1832, undoubtedly jumpstarted the project. But it was John Buckner's creative eye and
carpentry skills that resulted in the success of that first endeavor.
"My family has always been into woodworking," he said, "not
necessarily as a craft or art, but we live in rural Georgia, and
that's something you pick up and learn how to do."
