Promoted as the "30 Day Challenge," participants documented their service and were entered in to a random drawing to receive $3,000 to donate to a local nonprofit of their choice. Although originally only three winners were to be chosen, the Foundation was so impressed by the participants' service that an additional five winners were drawn. "The Peyton Anderson Foundation was so inspired by the quality and enthusiasm invested into each 30-Day Challenge entry that we decided to do even more good and donate $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations through the Challenge winners," said Foundation President Karen Lambert. Each of the eight winners picked a local nonprofit to receive $3,000 from the Peyton Anderson Foundation. • Alexandria Lewis: Donating to Adopt a Role Model • Margaret Jones: Donating to Save Our Rivers Inc. • Peyton Jeter and the Macon Centreplex: Donating to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia • Mark Estes: Donating to Campus Clubs Inc. • Brittney Kish Lightsey: Donating to St. Francis Episcopal Church • Ivey Hall and family: Donating to Macon Area Habitat for Humanity • Albert Reichert: Donating to Community Foundation of Central Georgia • Brandi Pitts: Donating to NewTown Macon for the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail In addition, a bonus award of $1,000 is being donated to St. Francis Episcopal Church on behalf of selected grand prize winner Brittney Kish Lightsey. 438 Cherry Street 746-9485 macon Celebrating the good life & great stories magazine LOCAL BUZZ BRANDI PITTS RECEIVING HER $3,000 AWARD FROM PEYTON ANDERSON FOUNDATION PRESIDENT KAREN LAMBERT AND THEN DONATING IT TO NEWTOWN PRESIDENT JOSH ROGERS FOR THE OCMULGEE HERITAGE TRAIL.
