C O M | 5 1 Gary Thor Wedow Baroque Music Residency Sunday, Nov. 10- Wednesday, Nov. 13 A member of the Vocal Arts faculty at the Juilliard School in New York City, and a pre- eminent Baroque scholar and conductor, Gary Thor Wedow will lead a four-day workshop for Mercer University Townsend School of Music voice students in the art of Baroque Performance Practice. The workshop will also feature instrumental study students, culminating in an afternoon recital of Baroque music on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The Ehnes Quartet Tuesday, Jan. 7 – 7:30 p.m. The Ehnes Quartet, hailed for their "Dream team line- up" (Strings) makes a much anticipated return to Fickling Hall, to perform a concert of the Great Russian Masters. Including Shostakovich's Tenth String Quartet, the famous "Nocturne" from Borodin's String Quartet No. 2, followed by the powerful String Quartet No. 1 by Tchaikovsky, the Ehnes Quartet will guide attendees through some of the most beautiful and exhilarating music of the string quartet genre.
