C O M | 7 7 2696 ROFF AVE., MACON | 478-219-7347 WILLIAM@CASTIRONCATERINGMACON.COM CASTIRONCATERINGMACON.COM | What is the mission of your business? To provide Macon and Middle Georgia with exceptional food and top notch hospitality. What sets your business apart? We take pride in our ability to mass produce for multiple functions, while also providing each client with hands-on attention to detail that is second to none. We are 100 percent caterers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. Our focus is our clients, so our doors are never shut. If you need us, we are here to help make your event the next talk of the town. You might be surprised that: Our name, Cast Iron Catering, was inspired from my mom, "Mama Ba," cooking with cast-iron skillets. To this day I guarantee she has a cast-iron skillet in her kitchen with some good ole bacon fat! Yes, bacon fat – the key to so many delicious recipes. No doubt, those Sunday lunches prepared by Mama Ba cooking up a storm with any and every size cast-iron skillet inspired not only the name but also my passion for making people happy with both food and service. What makes you a strong leader? I am young and hungry! Cooking came natural to me, but managing a business has been a learning process. I am learning every day with my staff and the company. I learn from mistakes, but I aim to make sure that mistakes are only made once – and that is how we all grow. My staff has heard me say at least 1,000 times, "Do it right, do it light. Do it wrong, do it long." How do you define success? I think I may have a slightly unconventional definition of success. Some may say that millionaires are successful. If you love what you do, do it well, and always strive to be better than the day before, then you are successful in my books.
