Besides soaking up live performances, the money raised will go toward scholarships for youth to attend summer enrichment camps. The expo is presented by the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. Art Week June 7-15 | Ampersand Guild A week-long celebration of the members and artists at the Ampersand Guild, this free, kid friendly event will feature popular art classes and workshops by Guild members. The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation Forsyth Expedition June 8 | Old Mary Persons High School Building Tour the rarely open interiors of historic Forsyth homes and buildings. The expedition features many notable homes, including the Jones House and the House of Seven Gables. Lunch and special closing reception included with the ticket price. "Rock of Ages" June 10 | The Grand Opera House The 10th anniversary tour of the Tony Award-nominated musical is bringing the 1980s to the Grand Opera House for one night only. Dust off your best '80s gear, tease your hair high and get ready to turn your rock 'n' roll dreams into reality. Macon Music Boogie June 21 | Third Street Park Make Music Day, launched in France in 1982, now is celebrated in more than 800 cities in 120 countries. Musicians of all ages and skills are encouraged to share their music with the community for this free event. Music Town: Songwriters Showcase June 26 & July 31 | The Society Garden Hear original songs and the stories behind them, from Macon's own songwriters. Macon has a rich musical history, but don't miss the music being created in Macon now.
