Carlyle Place residents have a full menu of activities offering an abundance of things to do. They can take part in as many clubs, classes and scheduled events as they desire. These activities range from religious studies to card games, from language classes to community concerts and from art classes to day trips. WHAT IS THE BASIS OF YOUR WELLNESS PLAN? We strive to offer a comprehensive wellness program based on years of research on successful aging. There are three main components: avoid disease and disability, maintain physical and cognitive function and maintain engagement. In addition to the wellness program, Carlyle Place recognizes the importance of engaging with the greater community. There is a strong theme of social responsibility and giving back that resonates throughout the campus. WHAT ROLE DOES PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PLAY IN WELLNESS? We operate under the premise that you have one body and one life. Maintaining one sustains the other through exercise and proper nutrition. All of our residents have access to our heated indoor pool, fitness equipment, walking trails and putting green. CARLYLE PLACE NAVICENT HEALTH 5300 Zebulon Road, Macon 478.405.4500 carlyleplace.org
