Songs for a Spring Day Sunday, May 5 3:00 p.m. Neva Langley Fickling Recital Hall Community Performances Other Community Events 1st Annual Woodwind Symposium Saturday, November 17, 3:00 p.m. The Townsend School of Music hosts its 1st annual Woodwind Symposium featuring outstanding woodwind artists Monty Cole, Adrian Gnam, Lori Ardovino, Rachel Nozny, and Greg Pritchard. This day-long symposium will be highlighted by master classes, lectures, ensembles, and recitals. The day will conclude with a finale concert in Fickling Hall. Middle Georgia Youth Wind Ensemble December 9, 3:00 p.m. May 4, 7:30 p.m. The Middle Georgia Youth Wind Ensemble (MGYWE) provides high school students an opportunity to extend their performance experiences beyond the normal school day. Under the direction of Dr. Douglas Hill and Mr. Lloyd McDonald, MGYWE performs an eclectic repertoire of music, ranging from the standards of the band literature to contemporary and unique selections.
